Vivekananda Social Welfare Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the lives of less fortunate individuals, particularly focusing on educating and supporting children who are dumb, deaf, blind, or disabled. Inspired by the principles of compassion and inclusivity, our trust is deeply rooted in the timeless wisdom of Swami Vivekananda.
Our central mission revolves around ensuring equitable access to education and opportunities for personal growth for every child, regardless of physical abilities. Education is the cornerstone of empowerment, and we are committed to making it accessible to all.
Our core activities involve facilitating admissions to specialized schools for these children, where they receive tailored education and support. We also provide monthly stipends to cover their educational expenses and livelihood needs, ensuring they have the resources to thrive.
During cultural festivals like Durga Puja and the harsh winter season, we distribute new clothes and winter essentials, bringing warmth and joy to their lives.
Looking ahead, we aim to construct residential lodges to offer shelter and support, introduce vocational skill development programs, and continue uniting these children through cultural events.
